Domains are only $9.95 per year.

Private Registrations are available for an additional $9.95 per year. With a private registration your personal information will not be listed on the public WHOIS listing.

When you find a domain that is available it is wise to register all versions that are available to keep someone else from registering something very similar. It is a method of protecting your domain name from undesired use by someone else. It will also protect your brand. You can set it up so that anyone typing in any of your registered domains will get the same home page for your business.

If you find a domain that you like then register it at that time.  I have often waited to “think about it” and when I went back the domain was already gone and up for auction.  Makes one wonder…
