You have spent a great deal of time getting your LinkedIn profile just perfect.  It is finally at 100%.  Is it helping you with Google?  There are a few simple things that you can do to your profile that will make it found in Google better.

  • Edit your LinkedIn personal url to have either your name in it or your business name
  • When entering your Websites and Blogs use the “other” category.  This will allow the title that shows in your profile to be customized.  Use either your Website/Blog address or the Key Words you want to rank for in the Search Engines.

Take a few minutes right now and go to your LinkedIn profile and make these changes.  I dare you!

Here are a few other articles about LinkedIn that you might find interesting.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my clients to the concept of promoting your own website to bring in new customers and revenue. Relying on Search Engine Optimization only is not a good idea. Search Engines are constantly changing their search algorithms (search criteria) and most sites can not keep up with the changes unless they are paying a great deal of money to have their site managed by a SEO company. Renegade University will teach you many different techniques for promoting your own site and getting tons of free traffic to your site. Free traffic is the best kind! Do not mistake free traffic as poor prospects. These are people that are actively looking for your product or service – your target market. Renegade University will teach you:

  • Site Monitization
  • How to use Social Marketing
  • How to effectively use YouTube
  • How to find your Target Market on the Internet
  • and much more!

Renegade U has a free level that contains training videos and other training materials. It also has a paid membership that will literally walk you through how to set up your Internet Marketing Campaign. Improving Google PageRank

By Dotty · Comments (1)
Sunday, November 11th, 2007

In a nutshell the best and only way to improve the PageRank for your website is to get incoming links from websites that have a higher PageRank than your site. The PageRank is a mathematical computation that involves a ratio of incoming links and your PageRank vs their PageRank. So what are some ways to get links?

  • Link Exchanges are frowned upon by Google so beware if you participate in one.
  • Paid Links
  • Submit articles you have written to various publishers for a link back to your site
  • Comment on blogs
  • Contribute to Blogs
  • Have unique content on your site that people want to link to
  • Submit your site to local Business Directories
  • Submit your site to the Open Directory

I am sure there are other suggestions. Feel free to leave your suggestion in the comments here!

Blogging

Several of my customers have asked for something they can do to increase their organic search engine placement. I tell them to ad content. The easiest way to ad content is to have a blog and post daily or at least weekly. If it is to hard for the client to set up their own blog, I can do it for them and then teach them how to use the software and get them up and blogging. Giving the Search Engines new content to catalog every time your site get crawled is a great way to increase the frequency of crawling as well as the placement of your site.

Just a thought…

Premium Websites, LLC – Website Design and Social Marketing

Web Design Expert: Dotty

Much of my experience is hands on and self taught. I have a strong background in both Photography and Customer Service. I  run my business with common sense in mind and I treat others like I want to be treated. I have a degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Seattle, and took classes in Web Design from Clark College.

I am deeply connected to my community through the Fort Vancouver Lions Club. The Lions provide support for Hearing and Sight Impaired individuals as well as service projects throughout the community. I volunteer many hours each year for the benefit of our community as a whole.

I am a firm believer in Networking and Word of Mouth Advertising. Two of the Networking groups I belong to are Clark County Leads Direct, and I Take the Lead. Repeat customers and customer referrals are the cornerstone of my business. “Under promise and over deliver” has been very effective in growing my business. I welcome all feedback and comments.
Another aspect of my business is teaching my clients (that want to know) about Internet Marketing and how to properly promote their own business or website. My main source of education is the Renegade University Marketing System.

I work from home and have one child. I enjoy Photography, Scrapbooking, Reading, Learning, Organic Gardening, and Natural Health and Wellness.

Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or feedback.

“I sought out Dotty when I felt I was struggling and needed direction, and miraculously she was there eager to assist!”

My name is Randa Kassisieh, I am a fellow “Renegade Professional”. After several months of studying the Renegade Professional Platform, I had built my own website utilizing all the webinars that were offered in the back office, that gave step-by-step instructions on how to apply the different methods and techniques to achieve an optimized website through WordPress suitable for the net and Google friendly. Dotty had conducted several of the webinars that had dealt with SEO and technical challenges, which she addressed with precision.

I had some issues that were not clear to me, and I contacted Dotty for some assistance. Our conversation was warm and friendly, as if I knew Dotty before. She was very soft spoken but precise, and listened with care. She had clarified issues as far as…what direction to take, how to be more focused, what avenues to pursue…etc…

After our conversation, I felt truly nurtured and knew what necessary steps need to be made. Dotty is not just informed with website design and technical issues, but is also a well rounded coach for advancing your marketing strategies, and creating traffic to your sites that will insure positive leads. Dotty’s honesty and professionalism encourages me to recommend her to others with confidence.

“I am very happy with my new web site and Dotty did an outstanding job. It’s so refreshing to deal with a person individually instead of a big company. She was so patient with me through the process and I’m recommending her to all my associates for their web site needs.”

Clean N Green – Residential Cleaning Services

“I have enjoyed referring my book of business to you so that you can improve my clients websites. As an independent consultant for Google & Yahoo, I come in contact with a bunch of nasty looking websites. You have successfully helped clean them up and helped get them more business as a direct result of your online work with their new improved website that has higher search results. Thank you again for all that you do for my clients. I am more than happy to be available to act as a reference on your behalf.”
