• What is a domain name?
  Simply put, it is your address on the World Wide Web. It is what you type into your web browser’s address bar to get to a web site. Our domain name is PremiumWebsites.net, or www.PremiumWebsites.net
• Should I get my own domain name?
  That depends. Surprisingly enough we don’t always recommend that. What are you going to do with it? Do you need brand recognition or an online identity? If you do, then registering a domain name can be a great place to start. Your company will look more professional with email coming from “you@yourcompany.com” than it would from “you56743@aol.com”. However, if you just want a fun site to tell about your family or something for a special occasion that only a select few will know about, then free hosting may be the way to go.
• What is web hosting?
  Website hosting is required for your website to be accessible on the Internet. A hosting company maintains the computers where your files are stored, they help to ensure your site is up and running 99.9% of the time. Hosting companies also possess the communication equipment to ensure fast access to your site so that your pages load quickly. Hosting is based on a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We do provide web hosting for our clients.
• Does Premium Websites have to host my site?
  No. You can host it anywhere you wish. We prefer to provide the hosting for your website because it makes it easier to manage. We have relationships with the hosting companies and can resolve issues quicker than with a hosting company we are not familiar with.
• What is website maintenance?
  Maintenance is the process of updating a website once the initial design phase has been completed. We have both annual and hourly maintenance plans. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back.
• How long will it take for my website to show up in the search engines?
  This depends entirely on when the search engines send out their web crawlers or spiders to catalog your site. This can take 1 week or 2 months! We help the process along by submitting your site to the search engines. This lets them know you’d would like to be added to their queue for indexing.
• How do I get a high ranking in the search engines for my website?
  High ranking in the search engines is dependent on many different factors, including amount of keywords in your content and links. Never trust a web company that says they can guarantee first page placement on Google. For one, Google does not design their search engine to be easily manipulated. And even the world’s top search engine experts would never claim to have a search engine “figured out”.
  The best way to be placed high in the search engines is to write a lot of good, relevant content for your website. This gives your site a lot of credibility and offers tremendous value to web users.
• What is Social Media?
  Social Media encompasses a great deal of different sites. Any site that is interactive with the user can be considered social media. They can range from video and photo sharing sites, blogs, mirco blogs like Twitter, social sites like FaceBook and Myspace, bookmarking sites like Digg, or any industry specific websites. Social Media sites help build brand recognition, reputation, credibility, and links to your website.
• How can Social Media help my website?
  Social Media sites are liked by the Search Engines. Your profile will get ranked in a search engine just like a web page. Having many different profiles that are all linking to your website will give you a huge advantage over a competitor that is not using this strategy. Other advantages are it helps your business build trust and credibility online – something that is very hard to gain with just a website. It also gives your potential clients many different ways to find you or your business – increasing the chances they will get to your website.
